About the awards

HRtech believes technology is a driving force in a rapidly changing world of work. It will be instrumental in designing more efficient processes, creating an engaging employee and learning experience and enable better decision making. Did your team conclude a strong HRtech project or are you an HRtech startup? Then maybe one of these 2 awards will be shining on your desk next year. The winners will also get an article in HRmagazine and lots of visibility through video content on the gala evening and on social media.

Team of the year

The team award will be given to a Belgian HR team that concluded a strong HRtech project in 2024.

Who can apply?

  • HR teams with a scope of 100+ employees.
  • Companies that aren’t HR services providers.

What are the criteria?

Criterium 1: Organisational impact

  • The project had a strategic scope.
  • It had a clear impact on the organisation during the last year (2023 + Q1, Q2 2024).
  • The project was more ambitious than the digitalisation of an HR process or the implementation of a tool.

Criterium 2: Innovative character

  • The project does not only address traditional problems, but also anticipates future changes.
  • It was tailormade and anticipated fundamental changes in the organisation and its business environment.

Criterium 3: Results

  • The project has demonstrable added value for the organisation and its employees.
  • Its added value can be clearly demonstrated and measured.

Startup of the year

The startup award will go to the HRtech startup that designed solutions for real HR business needs.

Who can apply?

  • New ventures, founded in 2019 or later.
  • B2B SaaS solution.
  • Strong growth potential and a scalable business model (digital product or service).
  • Offers an impactful B2B HRtech solution in one of the following categories:
    • HR Strategy, planning & control
    • HR Core operations
    • HR Talent management
    • Organisation, team and productivity

What are the criteria?

Criterium 1: Organisation

  • Company has its HQ in Belgium.
  • Company was founded in 2019 or later.
  • Proven technology: Tech solution for a true need in HR industry with a recurring revenue and strong B2B references.

Criterium 2: Innovative character

  • Company created its own technology.
  • Scalable business model.
  • Company stands out from competition.

Criterium 3: Results

  • Growth metrics: company offers a tech solution for a true need in the HR industry.
  • Key financial metrics: tracking of business processes.

The selection process

  1. Nomination Phase: Fill in the application form. Deadline applications: Monday, June 10, 2024, 23:59h.
  2. The candidates that match the criteria will be evaluated by the jury.
  3. The Jury selects 5 candidates for each category. These candidates will be published on the website.
  4. Public voting will be possible from June 24 till August 31, 2024.
  5. Public voting ends August 31, 2024, 23:59h.
  6. Two laureates in each category will be selected through public voting & jury expert opinions (40%-60%).
  7. Jury meeting September 6, 2024. The laureates convince the jury for one last time.
  8. Presentation of the HRtech awards @ the gala dinner on October 2, 2024.
