Mbrella

Mbrella, an HR platform offering flexible and sustainable mobility solutions, won the HRtech Startup of the Year 2022 award during the HRtech gala at the Handelsbeurs in Antwerp. The company offers an innovative solution to integrate the mobility budget.

Goodbye to administrative HR hassle

Mbrella has developed a platform that helps employers reduce their carbon footprint and also makes them more attractive by offering employees sustainable mobility benefits.

They create a personalised mobility plan for each employee, manage your public transport subscriptions, commuting allowances and mobility budgets in one single tool.

What’s the story?

The company was founded in 2020 and is part of D’Ieteren. Mbrella grew strongly in 2022, increasing its revenue fivefold. “Interest in flexible mobility increased majorly during the health crisis and mobility budgets are also gaining strong popularity among employees,” co-founder and CEO Amaury Gerard noted.

They plan to keep on groing, fast, with new partnerships and features. Moreover, Mbrella announced at HRtech the launch of a new innovative payment card. The service, called MbrellaPay, is a seemingly ordinary credit card that can only be used for mobility purchases. This means HR managers no longer have a workload in reimbursing mobility expenses, such as tickets on public transport.
