With an interior architecture background and initial work experience as a lighting consultant, Els joined Vitra Belgium in 1996 as a sales project manager. In addition to her sales role, she was also responsible for internal and external product and sales training in the Benelux region for over 15 years. Her in-depth knowledge of the Vitra company, ergonomics, sustainability and design history has made her a key speaker at many conferences. In January 2015, Els was appointed Marketing Manager for Benelux, with France added to her marketing responsibilities from 2020. In 2023, she will became Market Leader & General Manager for Vitra Belgium.
